Toby stopped by the show to debut some of his new music that no one has ever heard. There was a breakdown in one song where he told me to bust out a freestyle rap, which I did. Then he came at me!
In an attempt to work though my own issues I have started giving different bands pages from my sixth grade journal. The hope is that they can make something beautiful form my tormented ramblings about my life as a kid. This entry is about the time I got the dreaded swirly and the one guy who tried to stop it.
We officially declare Project Return to Hope a success!! We had a goal of finding new sponsors for 1200 World Vision kids who for one reason or another lost their sponsors. Quite honestly, it was a daunting task but in only three days over 1200 people answered the call to make a life changing difference in the lives of kids and their families around the world. Words seem extremely inadequate but Thank You to everyone who sponsored a child, told someone about what we were doing, or prayed for these kids. You Rule.

I wasn't going to post this til next week when we officially started Project HALO but this is too important to wait.
This was our first Day in Africa with World Vision. It was the start of a journey that would not only change the lives of the children we met but it would also our lives forever.
This was our third day in Africa with World Vision. The culture shock was something I had never experience before. We only drove 2 hour outside the city of Arusha but somehow we traveled back in time. I did get to meet My Sponsored child Mamaai. I know I was there to help her but the irony is it was her and her family that helped me see the world like I have never seen it before.
This was our second day in Africa with World Vision. The kids in Africa have to deal with adult problems everyday so it was nice to get a chance to let them just be kids if even for an hour.
Recently my daughter and I got the chance to go to Space Camp in
Huntsville, AL. It was such an amazing experience. It was not only a
great daddy daughter time but we also learned a ton about the space
program past, present, and future. Here is a video of some of the
crazy, unique things we both got to do.
